UltraColor Systems has been building a strong reputation as an independent automotive paint repair shop, serving customers throughout the Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Carrboro and Hillsborough areas of North Carolina.

With over 30 years combined experience, UltraColor Systems is locally owned and family operated. From repairing scrapes and dents to restoring your headlights, clearcoat and exterior trim, UltraColor Systems has been providing exceptional service since 2004. Tim Compton

President
Originally from Richmond, VA, Tim Compton’s interest in automotive repair came from his love of cars. “Specially old muscle cars when I was younger,” says Tim. This led to his learning how to improve a car’s appearance, making them look their best. Tim began his career in automotive paint repair when he was 19 years old. In 2004, he moved to North Carolina and launched UltraColor Systems. Prior to that, Tim worked as a cosmetologist and in the catering industry.

Restoring a 1959 Ford F-100, an old style pickup truck, is one of Tim’s dream projects. Tim counts Kenya as the favorite placed he’s traveled to, remembering fondly the people he met there during a two-week trip in 2006. Tim practices Gracie Jiu Jitsu, and has studied Martial Arts since he was twelve years old.

Drew Compton

Also hailing from Richmond, VA, Drew Compton has always loved working with his hands. “I enjoy repairing stuff that would otherwise be considered broken and simply thrown away,” he says.

Drew has 16 years of automotive paint repair experience, beginning his career in Richmond. Drew joined his brother Tim in 2005, helping to grow the UltraColor Systems family business in North Carolina.
